Job Title: INGO Forum Team Leader

To ensure the continuity of its humanitarian activities in Cameroon, the CHINGO platform, hosted by NRC Cameroon, is recruiting a INGO Forum Team Leader based in Yaounde

Qualifications

A- Generic professional competencies

  • University degree in International Relations, Political Science, Project Management, Communication or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in one of humanitarian coordination, programme management, advocacy, policy, or related fields.
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders in humanitarian contexts.
  • Experience drafting reports, briefing notes, donor products, and advocacy materials.
  • Demonstrated experience managing activities, budgets, and workplans.
  • Understanding of humanitarian principles and coordination systems is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Strong networking and representation skills.

B- Context related skills, knowledge and experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role such as humanitarian project management, advocacy, coordination in a humanitarian context
  • Knowledge of the Cameroon context, the humanitarian community and familiarity with the humanitarian architecture in Cameroon and the political situation
  • Knowledge of communicating humanitarian needs and ethical reporting
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and dedication to humanitarian work.

We offer:

  • 06-months work contract renewable subject to availability of funds.
  • Workplace: Yaoundé with 50% travel in the field.
  • Salary/Benefits: Grade 6 step 1 of the NRC Cameroon salary scale.
  • Desired start date: September 2026

Responsibilities

A- Generic Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with CHINGO, host agency, donor, and humanitarian coordination policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of activities in line with CHINGO's workplan and strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of new initiatives, projects, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
  • Ensure effective management and use of financial, information, and material resources assigned to the role.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to CHINGO staff, members, and partners as required.
  • Promote collaboration and information sharing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to assessments, analysis, learning, and continuous improvement of CHINGO's coordination and advocacy approaches.
  • Represent CHINGO in meetings, forums, and engagements as delegated by the Director.

B- Specific responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the implementation of CHINGO's annual workplan and facilitate effective collaboration, information sharing, and engagement among members and key humanitarian stakeholders.
  • Organize and support CHINGO coordination mechanisms, including meetings, working groups, consultations, and field-level engagement activities.
  • Monitor humanitarian and operational developments, conduct analysis, and support collective advocacy initiatives based on members' priorities and concerns.
  • Represent CHINGO in humanitarian forums, coordination platforms, donor engagements, and external meetings as delegated by the Director.
  • Coordinate the production and dissemination of reports, situation updates, analyses, advocacy products, newsletters, and other communication materials.
  • Support the management of workplans, budgets, procurements, consultants, and other resources in accordance with CHINGO and host agency policies and procedures.
  • Any other tasks as delegated by the Director.
